Policies and Practices

Clinicians are generally available 7 days per week. However, no walk-in services are provided, only scheduled therapy patients and assessment clients. Most appointment times are limited to evenings and weekends, which generally best accommodate individual's work and school schedules better than traditional business hours. Psychologists at KCPC generally spend the daytime working at inpatient facilities, testifying in court, or supervising trainees. 

Anyone can call the office number or submit a written request to find out more information about the details of services provided in order to see if KCPC will meet their needs. Calls and electronic submissions are returned promptly, generally within the same day if possible. Electronic submissions are submitted through an email link rather than a secure system, so minimal disclosure is recommended.

All initial appointments begin by calling the office to determine what services are being requested and available time to schedule the initial appointment. Psychological assessments generally take several hours and are typically scheduled for a Saturday afternoon, although some other days and times might be available. Therapy intakes are generally scheduled for evenings or weekends. Once the intake is completed, a weekly time will be determined for consistent scheduling. 

THERAPY

Fees for initial therapy intakes are $150 for an hour interview and paperwork. Subsequent therapy sessions are $100/45-minute session. Fees for any services requested by current patients outside of the scheduled sessions are discussed during the initial intake and consent process,. A secure message system if available through the patient portal for securely transmitting messages about appointment cancellation or other information patients need to share with the psychologist.

ASSESSMENT

Assessment fees vary based on the type of evaluation, age and ability of the examinee, and time expected to complete the evaluation. Please review the specific assessment descriptions to view the typical price ranges. All fees include the interview, test administration time, scoring, instrument costs, interpretation time, and report writing time. A brief feedback session is also provided.
